A man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting on Bellshire Terrace Drive.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the shooting happened about 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block in the street.
According to police, 26-year-old Henry Oscar Smith and two of his acquaintances, identified as 21-year-old Calvin Birdsong and 25-year-old Bruce Mallory, went to that location where multiple shots were fire, hitting all three of them.
Smith was taken to Skyline Medical Center where he passed away. Birdsong gand Mallory remained hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries as of Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities confirmed a handgun was found near Smith.
The investigation into the shooting and possible motive continued.
