Three inmates escaped the Bedford County Jail the old fashioned way with a rope made out of sheets tied together.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to the Bedford County Sheriff, the inmates climbed inside the AC ventilation duct work, inside the ceiling of the jail. Once they reached a vent on an exterior wall, they used the sheet rope to get to the ground.

The inmates were Andrew Phillip Marshall, who was jailed for a misdemeanor charge, James David Stinnett, who was also jailed on a misdemeanor charge and Kevin Farrar, who was jailed on an aggravated assault charge.

Farrar has escaped at least five times before. He was later caught the next day, leaving two on the run.
