3 Suspects Arrested In Market Robbery, Shooting

Three people have been arrested in the robbery and shooting of a Spring Field market clerk.

The incident happened July 24, at the Korner market. Surveillance video showed a man approach the clerk behind the counter with a gun. 

But that's when the clerk tried to stop him by grabbing his gun and trying to take it from him. The suspect shot the clerk in the process.

With the help of public tips, detectives named three suspects. The first two suspects 26-year-old Larry James Taylorand 19-year-old Ta’Kin Tarell Briley were arrested in Springfield Wednesday at 202 Park Drive. They were charged with Especially Aggravated Robbery and held in lieu of $500,000 bond.

The third suspect, 22-year-old Samuel Demonte Bradley of Nashville, was arrested Thursday at a McDonalds in Smyrna and was held without bond.

The three suspects have admitted to taking part in the robbery during their interviews by detectives.

The Springfield Police Department thanked the public for the help they received in this case as well as the Metro Nashville Gang Unit.
