Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department arrested three teens in connection to a weekend armed carjacking in East Nashville.

The teens, two of which are 14-year-olds and one is 15 years old, allegedly carjacked a 27-year-old Sunday in South Inglewood Park.

Officers arrested 14-year-old Tywan Lyons, 14-year-old Derryon Lyons and 15-year-old Jeroy Green. They were all charged with aggravated robbery.

The vehicle owner and two friends, ages 24 and 21, were playing football in the park during around 3 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by the three teens who asked to join the game.

They agreed and played football with the teens for 15 to 20 minutes before the two groups went their separate ways.

When the three adults returned to the 27-year-old’s 2006 Toyota SUV, the teens approached with a couple of other teens.

One of the teens asked the victims for a cigarette and money for a drink.  Suddenly a pistol was pulled and the three adults were ordered out of the SUV.  The teens piled in and drove away.

On Monday, officers saw the Toyota traveling in the James Cayce public housing development.

The three teens inside it were seen going into an apartment. They were then taken into custody by Flex officers.

The victims identified all three of the teens from photo lineups as being involved.
