Three juveniles, two age 14 and one age 13, were arrested after a man in his 70s was assaulted in Clarksville. They also allegedly stole the victim’s vehicle.
Officials said the three juveniles “viciously assaulted” the man, an employee at Super Suds Carwash in the 700 block of Peachers Mill Road, during a robbery.
The crime happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities said the three pointed a rifle at the man. That’s when a struggle happened, and the man fell to the ground.
The juveniles then reportedly kicked the man and hit him multiple times with the butt of the rifle.
One of the juveniles then kept the gun pointed at the man, and the other two tipped over a coin-operated game machine, taking an unknown amount of money.
Police said the juveniles took the victim’s keys and fled in his pickup truck.
The victim was taken to Tennova before being transferred to Skyline Medical Center for treatment. He was last listed in stable condition.
All three juveniles were taken into custody by late Thursday afternoon. They were charged with especially aggravated robbery and theft of a motor vehicle. Additional charges were expected.
