FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Franklin police arrested four women accused of shoplifting 61 clothing items from Macy's in the Cool Springs Galleria.

Officers in plain clothes as part of Operation Not in Our Mall reported seeing the three women grab armfuls of merchandise worth $4,300 and run outside the mall, where another woman was waiting in a car.

Police reported the driver, Laquasha Irving, put the car in reserve and hit an officer who was trying to arrest one of the women. The officer was knocked to the ground, but not seriously hurt. Police said Irving also hit a police car as she tried to drive away.

The four women, all from Memphis, were arrested and later released on bond. Eugenia Thomas, 28, and Davianna Livingston were both charged with felony theft and possession of anti-theft tools. Samora Woods, 22, was charged with felony theft and Irving, 28, was charged with felony theft and aggravated assault.

They are all expected to be in court on December 19.
