Hendersonville residents have been breathing a sigh of relief after police arrested four teens accused of attempting to break into a Hendersonville gun store and committing a violent carjacking.
Multiple robberies and a carjacking have recently taken place in Hendersonville.
Two 16-year-olds, 18-year-old Deion Boyd, and 18-year-old Traivon Bohannon were arrested earlier this week.
Police said they attempted to break into Guns and Leather in Hendersonville and then carjacked a man who just got home from work to evade police.
According to Hendersonville police, they were also the same teens responsible for breaking into a Madison gun store.
One gun was recovered, but the other weapons have now been on the streets.
"It's extremely dangerous when you've got such violent and reckless individuals such as these individuals, and this is not the only group of guys doing this type of thing," said Chief Mickey Miller, of the Hendersonville Police Department.
The teens have been facing multiple charges, including aggravated robbery and two counts of theft over $2,500.
Police said they expect more charges to follow.
