NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Road closures are back this weekend as I-440 construction continues.

The closure is one element of the bigger 440 reconstruction project and begins 9 p.m. Friday.

440 will keep flowing, but several ramps are shutting down. They include:

  • Both on-ramps from Hillsboro Pike and 21st Avenue
  • The off-ramp from 440 east that loops around to get you to 21st - which is currently labeled as 431 North.

If that's your usual exit, you can get off early at West End Avenue and make your way to 31st, which eventually becomes Wedgewood Ave and can get you to your destination.

If you usually use the on-ramps that will be shut down, avoid 440 entirely with the downtown loop or Woodmont Blvd instead.

The ramps will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday in time for rush hour.
