47-Year-Old Man Killed In Shooting In Columbia

Officials in Columbia have been investigating a murder after a 47-year-old passed away from multiple gunshot wounds, and they confirmed they're searching for two suspects.

Officers with the Columbia Police Department responded to a shots fired call just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Riverside Drive at the River Villa Apartments.

They found 47-year-old Derrick Brandon Wells lying on the ground in front of an apartment. He was unresponsive and had been shot several times.

Aid was rendered by officers at the scene. He was taken to Maury Regional Medical Center where he passed away.

Sunday evening, authorities confirmed they're searching for 30-year-old Clifton Donnell Craig and 26-year-old Kavaris Javon Booker. Both are wanted for first degree murder.

Craig was described as standing 6'1'' tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Booker was said to be 5'9'' tall, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

They are considered armed and dangerous.
