NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The fourth closure of the Fast Fix 8 project has been ongoing this weekend in Davidson County.
Crews have been working around the clock repairing the bridges over Herman Street.
Officials said it’s challenging since the twin bridges are four times the size of the other six bridges in the project.
Crews worked on the east bridge during the third closure of the project, and this time, they’ve planned to focus on the westbound side.
Interstate 40 has been closed from where Interstates 40 and 65 split west of downtown to the 40/65 split south of downtown.
Authorities said the closures also meant there's no ramp access on or off at Demonbreun Street, Broadway, Church Street, or Charlotte Avenue.
Lanes were expected to open back up at 6 a.m. Monday.
