(WTVF) — UPDATE: NES says power has been restored to the area.

--

About 5,000 people are without power Saturday morning in the Doneslon area and Nashville Electric Service says the repair "could take some time."

It's unclear what caused the outage, but NES says they are working to replace a broken pole in the Percy Priest area. They say the current ground condition, caused by heavy rains, could cause the repair to "take some time."

There's no current estimate on when power could be restored, but NES says crews are moving as quickly and safely as possible.

About 5,000 people in the Hendersonville area lost power on Friday as well. That power has been restored.
