FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Crews responded to a large apartment fire in Franklin around 8:00 p.m.
Building C at Sussex Downs Apartments was engulfed in flames. A viewer video showed two firefighter hoses attacking the fire from above.
Sussex Downs is located at 1125 Magnolia Dr in Franklin. The building contained 20 apartments, and five of them were damaged.
Deputy Fire Chief, Todd Horton, said heavy fire was coming through the roof of the building, when crews arrived on scene.
The building contains 20 aptments, but five of them were significantly damaged. Horton said two received fire damage, and three received water damage.
Everyone got out safely, and was accounted for. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. Neighbors reported that they saw flames begin on the exterior of the building, but it was unclear if that was where it started.
