NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Christmas is getting closer! If you need a welcomed distraction from the stress of the holiday season, here are five things to do this weekend!

“Home Alone” in Concert – Nashville
Friday, December 13

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center continues its movie series with a beloved Christmas classic. The symphony will perform the John Williams score live while the film is shown on the big screen.

Jurassic Quest – Nashville
Thursday, December 12 – Sunday, December 15

The largest (and apparently most realistic) dinosaur exhibit in North America is making a stop at the Music City Center this weekend. The event has more than 80, true to life-sized animatronic dinosaur replicas from the very small, to the not so small.

Sumner County Christmas Boat Parade – Hendersonville
Saturday, December 14

Sumner County’s “Deck the Hulls” Christmas parade is this weekend at Mallard Point Park. There will be larger route this year (you’ll be able to see the parade on both sides of Drakes Creek). Food vendors will be at Mallard Point Park and Sanders Ferry Park.

Titans Art Rush – Nashville
Saturday, December 14

The Tennessee Titans are giving you a look at some creative designs produced by and for the team. Artists include Donald Page, Tom Bancroft, Dakota Wiley, and Manuel Cuevas. Read their bios here. The free event lasts from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Woolworth on 5th.

Jazzy Christmas on the Cumberland – Nashville
Sunday, December 15

The General Jackson Showboat is "jazzing" things up this weekend. The fourth annual "A Jazzy Christmas" On The Cumberland will feature jazz (of course), blues, Motown and holiday favorites.
