5 things to do this weekend in Middle Tennessee: November 22 – 24

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — We’ve already made it to the end of November and we’re feeling a bit festive. Here’s some holiday-themed events kicking off this weekend.

Winterfest at Fountains at Gateway – Murfreesboro
Begins Friday

Murfreesboro’s outdoor skating rink is back! The venue opens on Friday and continues until the end of January. It’s $15 for adults and $12 for kids 4-12. Kids 3 and under get in free.

Franktown Festival of Lights – Franklin
Begins Friday

In Franklin, you can drive through a mile-long light display (and by that, we’re talking thousands of lights). The nonprofit, Franktown Open Hearts, is hosting the event. Tickets are $25 per car and can be purchased at the gate or online.

Glow Holiday – Nashville
Begins Friday

One of Nashville’s newest holiday attractions kicks off this weekend at First Tennessee Park! Glow Nashville will feature the South’s tallest Christmas tree, an ice-skating rink, reindeer run tubing, Santa’s Workshop and shopping.

Holiday Lights at Cheekwood – Nashville
Begins Saturday

Cheekwood Estate and Gardens has created its own winter wonderland. You can also venture into the Frist Learning Center to see Santa and make holiday crafts. They have scheduled times from now through December but you’re advised to get tickets in advance.

Scott Hamilton and Friends – Nashville
Sunday, November 24

We’re capping off the weekend with Olympic Gold Medalist (and Nashville resident) Scott Hamilton’s show at Bridgestone Arena. The event starts at 5 p.m. and will feature some of the biggest names in figure skating. Tickets are still on sale.
