Nashville Humane Association rescued 50 dogs as part of a large-scale puppy mill rescue by the Humane Society of the United States.

More than 100 Yorkies, Chihuahuas and other designer breed small dogs were rescued from "deplorable conditions" in a puppy mill investigation.
Officials with the Nashville Humane Association said the 50 dogs they planned on taking in would need temporary foster homes. They asked anyone who could provide a "loving temporary home to help these dogs on their path to a new life" to send them an email at foster@nashvillehumane.org.
