NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A new pollution reduction plan and water quality study has been planned for the entire Harpeth River system, and it’s the first of its kind in Tennessee.
Thursday, Nissan made the announcement that the company was set to award a $50,000 grant to the program.
The Harpeth made the 2015 list of "America's Most Endangered Rivers."
The grant will support The Harpeth River Watershed Association's Water Quality and Sustainability Program efforts.
The money will also go toward wildlife protection programs in the area.
