The show opened with a major performance featuring several big names like Darius Rucker, Eddie Montgomery, Rascal Flatts and others. The song honored the late Troy Gentry, who was killed in a helicopter crash earlier in the year.
Reba McEtire and Kelsea Ballerini performed a showstopping duet.
Keith Urban won Single of the Year for "Blue Aint Your Color." Taylor Swift won song of the Year for "Better Man" performed by Little Big Town.
Jon Pardi won best New Artist of the Year. Chris Stapleton won Album of the Year for From "A Room Vol.1"
Brothers Osborne took home two awards: Vocal Duo of the Year and Music Video of the Year for "It Aint My Fault."
Male and Female Vocalist of the Year went home to Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert. This was Stapleton's third year winning the award.
Carrie Underwood performed a beautiful gospel hymn, remembering the country artists, stars and musicians that have passed.
For the biggest award of the night, Garth Brooks won Entertainer of the Year.
