The body of a 57-year-old man has been recovered in the Hidden Harbor area of Chickamauga Reservoir.
TWRA officials said Robert Stone, of Chattanooga, slipped and fell into the water Saturday. His body was recovered Sunday.
Along with the TWRA, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Dallas Bay Fire, STARS Rescue Service, Sale Creek Fire Department, and Hamilton County EMS responded to the call when he went missing just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
According to first responders, they were told Stone was crossing between two cabin cruisers that had been tied and anchored together. That’s when he slipped and fell into the water and did not resurface.
Crews searched until midnight, and the search resumed Sunday morning. His body was taken to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
