COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 7-year-old boy was killed in a motorcycle wreck in Coffee County Saturday evening.
Police say the Desal Reek was riding the bike with his father on private property when he collided with a single strand of barbed wire strung between trees.
Investigators believe he was not familiar with the area and simply did not see the wire. They also do not believe the strand of wire was intentionally tied there to hurt anyone.
The father was also injured in the crash.
