A woman was injured after being hit by her own vehicle in a parking lot in Mt. Juliet.
Authorities with the Mt. Juliet Police Department said the incident took place Saturday afternoon at Adams Lane Plaza in the 100 block of Adams Lane.
Reports stated a 75-year-old woman tried to pick something up off the pavement. Her car was still in reverse, and when she fell out of the car, the front, driver-side tire ran over her.
Officials said bystanders reportedly lifted the car off of her.
She was taken to the emergency room for treatment of her injuries in unknown condition.
