NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An 80-year-old Nashville man is in jail on charges of raping a 7-year-old girl.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim's father left her in the care of the suspect, Dionicio Hernandez, while he went to the store. While her father was out, Hernandez is accused of raping the young girl.
In an interview with law enforcement, Hernandez admitted to the criminal act.
Hernandez was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Hill Detention Center in Davidson County for two counts of rape of a child. His total bond was set at $300,000.
