$80K worth of heroin found at La Vergne home

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police said two people were charged after $80,000 worth of heroin was found in their home.

According to the Rutherford County Sheriff's office, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Ace Wintermeyer Drive back in January. Inside, they found 1.5 pounds of heroin, 50 Oxycodone pills, marijuana, a pistol and $20,331 cash.

Police said 31-year-old Kalum Shamar Alexander and 30-year-old Alyncia Latoya Sales were arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell, conspiracy to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Alexander was also charged with felon in possession of firearm. Police said he is being held without bond on the possession charge, with a total bond of $550,000.

Sales was released on $55,000 bond.
