81 people charged after undercover detectives infiltrate neighborhoods across the city

Undercover investigations in neighborhoods across Nashville have led to detectives charging 81 people with mostly drug and prostitution offenses this week.

Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged six people as the result of investigations on Demonbreun Street, 21st Avenue South, Nolensville Pike, and Thompson Lane. Detectives seized 20 grams of marijuana and one gram of cocaine. 

South Precinct detectives charged 16 people as the result of investigations on Claiborne Street, Lafayette Street, Lincoln Street, Perkins Street, Wallace Road, Tusculum Road, Harding Place, and Haywood Lane.  Detectives seized 3.4 grams of cocaine, two grams of heroin, 30.9 grams of methamphetamine, 136.9 grams of marijuana, and three ecstasy pills. 

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 22 people as the result of investigations on Harborwood Drive, Bell Road, Blackwood Drive, Murfreesboro Pike, Spence Lane, Stewarts Ferry Pike, Robinson Road, and Baptist World Center Drive.  Seized were 412 grams of marijuana, 41 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of heroin, one gram of methamphetamine, two bottles of promethazine, 151 oxycodone pills, two guns, and $6,146 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged three people as the result of investigations on Morrow Road, Nall Avenue, and 39th Avenue North.

North Precinct detectives charged seven people as the result of investigations on Brick Church Pike, Clarksville Pike, Whites Creek Pike, Trinity Lane, 16th Avenue North, Clay Street, Buchanan Street, and Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard.  Detectives seized 350 pills and one gram of cocaine.

Madison Precinct detectives charged seven people as the result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard, Village Trail, Cude Lane, Wade Circle, and Gallatin Pike.  Detectives seized 28 grams of marijuana and one gram of methamphetamine.

East Precinct detectives charged 10 people as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, Ben Allen Road, and Spring Street.  Detectives seized 1.6 grams of heroin, .5 gram of marijuana, .5 gram of cocaine, 35 grams of methamphetamine, eleven pills, and $973 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 10 people as the result of investigations on 5th Avenue South, Middleton Street, and Lafayette Street. Detectives seized two grams of cocaine and five grams of marijuana.

Citizens suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
