9/11 remembrance ceremonies around Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Several cities in Middle Tennessee are holding ceremonies in remembrance of the September 11th terror attacks. Here is a look at some of them:

Metro Nashville:

  • 7:00a.m. Friday, September 11th
  • Historic Metro Courthouse
  • In-person, but masks are required

Middle Tennessee State University:

  • 7:30a.m. Friday, September 11th
  • Online, broadcast on MTSU's YouTube channel and Facebook page

Franklin:

  • 8:30a.m. Friday, September 11th
  • Virtual remembrance ceremony streamed on the City of Franklin Facebook page

Clarksville:

  • 8:46a.m. Friday, September 11th
  • Clarksville’s Fire Station No. 1, 802 Main St
  • Face masks, social distancing and pre-event temperature checks will be required

Rutherford County:

  • 9:00a.m. Friday, September 11th
  • Sheriff’s Office’s 9/11 Memorial
  • Broadcast live on Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Facebook page

Hendersonville:

  • 9:00a.m.- 4:00p.m. Friday, September 11th
  • 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Workout Anytime

Columbia:

  • 6:00p.m. Friday, September 11th
  • Memorial vigil at the Columbia Square
  • Open to the public

Bellevue:

  • 5:30p.m. Saturday, September 12th
  • 9/11 Memorial Hockey Game hosted by Nashville Fire Department
  • Ford Ice Center, 7638 B Hwy 70 South

Downtown Nashville:

  • 9:00a.m. Sunday, September 13th
  • 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Tennessee Tower
  • Participants will climb the stairs multiple times for a total of 110 stories, representing the number of floors in the Twin Towers.
