DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. - Twenty-year-old Holly Bobo vanished from her Decatur County home on April 13, 2011 never to be seen again.
"I just want her back," said her mother Karen at the time.
The only lead came from Holly's brother, Clint. He told police there was a man in camouflage taking his sister into the woods behind their parents' home in Darden.
In the weeks, months, and years that followed there were dozens of organized searches of the area by police and volunteers.
"We're running down tips and chasing leads," said Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt.
Over time, friends and family never let Holly's story die from posting fliers with her smiling face to tying symbolic ribbons everywhere. Pink was Holly's favorite color -- the ribbons a reminder to all that she was still missing. The effort paid off with hundreds of tips and leads all tracked by the TBI.
"A typical complicated homicide case file is usually two volumes. Holly's case is 27 volumes," said Kristin Helm with the TBI in 2012.
It's unclear if it was an old or new tip that ultimately led to the big break in the case and the arrest of Zachary Adams.
Whatever happens next though it seems Holly's parents may finally get some answers to the maddening question of what happened to their daughter?
