A controversial document signed by more than 150 conservative Christian church leaders, has now spawned a rival document that opposes what it says.

The "Nashville Statement," written by the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood in Nashville this week, announced opposition to homosexuality and sex outside of marriage.

But now a different group has put forward its own ideas, which it says is more inclusive.

Three Nashville neighbors put together the new statement -- called the "Accurate Nashville Statement" -- saying "god loves you just the way you are" no matter if you identify as LGBT or not.

It was Melissa Greene's idea to craft the new statement after seeing the original one crafted by the group of Christian leaders.

"We were all shocked when it first came out," Greene said.  "I said lets do something in response, because this doesn't speak on behalf of Nashville."

The new writing is in contrast to the "Nashville Statement" that the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood put together while meeting at the Opryland Convention center last week -- saying God designed marriage to be a lifelong union of one man and one woman, denying that God designed marriage to be a homosexual relationship.
