ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Crews have located a body in the search for a swimmer who went missing in the Cumberland River.
Cheatham County crews got the call around 1:30 p.m. Monday after a swimmer went under and never resurfaced near the Cheatham Dam.
He was identified as 18-year-old Marvin Morales.
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officials confirmed a body was located about 30 to 40 feet from the dock.
Divers and emergency crews worked throughout the night and resumed their search efforts early Tuesday morning.
