A group of activists took the streets to protest the bill passed by the House, which would replace Obamacare.
More than two dozen people held a candlelight vigil in response to the decision and planned to march to the home of Senator Lamar Alexander.
The group said they hope to urge Alexander to consider the damage he will inflict on millions of American families if he votes for the AHCA.
Sen. Alexander released the following statement:
"I respect everyone's right to protest, but the protest should be against the Affordable Care Act which could leave up to 200,000 Tennesseans who have Obamacare subsidies with zero health insurance options in 2018 unless Congress acts soon."
The House approved the revised health care bill by a vote of 217 to 213. Every Democrat and 20 Republicans voted against it. Critics claim millions could lose insurance under the bill.
Supporters have said it will lower premiums and deductibles. The measure now moves to the Senate.
Both Tennessee Senator Bob Corker and Senator Lamar Alexander have said there is NO way the current version of the bill will pass. Big changes are expected.
