Adult reportedly slashes 10-year-old's throat during video game argument

LEWIS COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 10-year-old boy's throat was allegedly slashed by an adult after an argument during a video game, according to the Tennessee River Valley News.

The incident happened in a home on Howards Switch Road in Lewis County. The child and adult were allegedly playing a video game when they started arguing. Reportedly the adult slashed the child's throat.

The child was taken into the city of Hohenwald to meet an ambulance and Lewis County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the home. They allegedly had to use a taser to take down the man after he would not drop the knife used on the child.

The child suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
