COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WTVF) — The 37-year-old man accused of killing one and injuring two others in Maury County shot all three victims in the head, an affidavit said.

Investigators say Samuel Modine has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

According to an affidavit, Modine intentionally shot Eddie Anderson, Alecia Rae-Mary Manning and Hannah Michelle Ward in the head.

Anderson later died as a result of his injury.

The incident happened on the morning of July 26 at a residence on Brown Hollow Road.

Maury County Sheriff Bucky Rowland said a caller told dispatchers he shot three people and asked to send help.

Rowland said Modine was friends with the victims. He did not legally own the gun due to his criminal history, according to investigators.
