CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect who was wanted for aggravated assault in Clarksville has been taken into custody.
Officials with Clarksville Police said Vincent Merriweather was arrested Friday after being involved in an incident back in June.
Police said a victim was walking through the Summit Heights neighborhood and got into an argument with four African American males.
At some point, Merriweather got out a handgun and allegedly shot the victim in the leg.
An outstanding warrant was issued, charging Merriweather with aggravated assault.
He was held on a $252,500.00 bond. No additional details were known.
