Two suspected car thieves were taken into custody after police tracked them to a Metro Nashville high school.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, officers were following a stolen vehicle using a GPS signal.
They tracked it all the way to Hunters Lane High School.
Officers zeroed in on the car and confirmed the license plate number before moving in to make the arrests.
Police ordered the suspects from the vehicle at gunpoint. One jumped out and started walking way, but then surrendered peacefully.
Both were taken into custody.
It doesn’t appear the suspects were students at the school and may have been using the school's parking lot to hide.
