Antioch Crash Kills 1, Injures 3

A crash in Antioch killed a woman and left three other people, including two children, injured.

It happened at the intersection of Hickory Park Drive and Bell Road Tuesday afternoon.

Metro Nashville Police officials said 71-year-old Dirpa Chamlagai, the passenger of a Hyundai Accent, was killed when the vehicle crashed with a Chevrolet Equinox.

The driver of the Equinox was Nancy Morton, 77, was driving the north on Bell Road when she collided with the male driver of the Hyundai, 33-year-old Ichha Chamlagai. 

Chamlagai was trying to turn left onto Bell Road from Hickory Park Drive. Crash investigators have not yet determined who had the right of way.

Dirpa Chamlagai, of Ohara Drive, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died. 

Three other passengers in the Hyundai, including a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Morton was transported to Southern  Hills Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

There was no indication at the scene of alcohol or drug involvement.
