FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVF) — Kentucky's number of positive COVID-19 cases has risen to 3,192, and a total of 171 people have died from the virus.
Governor Andy Beshear says 33,328 people have been tested.
He held a wreath-laying presentation Tuesday at the capitol to honor the more than 170 people who have died from COVID-19. Governor Beshear reported 17 new deaths due to the virus during his daily briefing.
One of the most recent deaths was 90-year-old John Doug Woods from Madisonville. He would have celebrated 64 years of marriage this summer with his wife Freda, who also died of corona-virus just on Sunday.
Governor Beshear also shared the positive news he believes Kentucky has reached a plateau in cases. He's also calling for businesses to submit proposals for re-opening.
