NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Nashville food truck is offering free burgers to federal employees who’ve been affected by the government shutdown.

M.L.Rose Food Truck is offering the special deal from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Street Eats, located at 4th Avenue and Deaderick Street in downtown.

“There are thousands of federal employees in Nashville who are affected by the shutdown, and they’ve been on my mind,” owner Austin Ray said in a release. “M.L.Rose is a neighborhood spot, and this is a good opportunity to be a good neighbor.”

The first 100 federal employees will get a free cheeseburger and waffle fries. After that, they’ll be selling the combo for $5.

The $5 offer will continue until January 31. You must show your ID to get the deal.
