BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Police have been searching for three brazen armed robbery suspects who forced their way inside a family’s house as they were unloading groceries.

The scary incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night in the 5300 block of Trousdale Avenue, just off of Old Hickory Boulevard in Brentwood, in Crieve Hall.

Police said the victims included the 51-year-old homeowner, identified as Gina Kochevar, her 72-year-old mother, the homeowner's 26-year-old daughter, and her daughter's 26-year-old boyfriend.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the 72-year-old victim had just returned home from grocery shopping and asked the others to help bring the groceries inside.

Three unknown men then forced their way inside and began ransacking the home. The victims told police two of the suspects had guns.

"At first, you know, you don't know. It's like, is this a friend of my daughter or a boyfriend? Then he shows the gun," Kochevar said.

The men forced the victims into a vehicle and drove them to nearby ATMs to withdraw money.

Investigators said the suspects then dropped the victims off near Old Hickory Boulevard and Interstate 65. Authorities said the victims borrowed a phone from someone in that location to call police.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

"Like I said, I'm okay. I'm just, like I said, really grateful that everybody's okay. I'm still kind of in shock," Kochevar said.

The robbers were described as three black males, one in his mid-20's standing around 6'2'' with a fade haircut, small dreads, and a chinstrap beard.

The second suspect was described as  being approximately 5'9'' with a lighter complexion, and the third man was bald, standing 5'5'' with a thin mustache.

Their vehicle was described as a black Nissan Murano with a temporary tag.

Police did not say if they believed any of the victims or suspects knew each other, or if the incident was a random attack.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
