CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Clarksville police have made an arrest in connection with a homicide from six years ago.
Police said Shaquille Dwayne Miles was arrested at 8 a.m. Friday at his work. He’s been charged with criminal homicide in the 2014 murder of Fran Daniel Caratini.
According to investigators, Caratini, who had two children at the time of his death, was found shot to death in the Chapel Street area on August 14, 2014.
Police developed solid leads during the initial investigation, but said the case went cold and the original detective assigned to the case left the homicide unit. The case was reassigned, and they were able to identify a suspect.
"Just because leads dry up and a case goes ‘cold,’ we don't forget about it. We revisit it until we can bring closure to the victim's family,” said Clarksville Police Chief David Crockarell.
Police also said more arrests are possible in the case. Anyone with additional information was asked to contact Detective Carlton at (931)-648-0656 ext. 5172, Tipsline, (931)-645-8477, or go online and submit a tip anonymously.
