Posted

A Mt. Juliet man has been indicted in a child pornography investigation.

Authorities said they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding child pornography being sent through a social media account.

Information developed by detectives led to the indictment of 60-year-old John Carrasquillo.

Officials said Carrasquillo was identified as the person in possession of images consistent with child pornography.

Reports stated Carrasquillo was found in possession of nearly 1,600 images.

He was indicted on Monday and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor over 100 images.

Carrasquillo was arrested Friday at his home without incident. He was booked into the Wilson County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
