NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Detectives arrested a man and charged him with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Nathaniel Kelly in November 2014.
Officials said 20-year-old Damion Perrin was taken into custody on a grand jury indictment charging him in the murder as well as with especially aggravated robbery.
The incident happened last November in the 1800 block of 14th Avenue North.
Authorities said the responded to a call of shots fired just aver 11 a.m. November 9, and that’s when they found the 31-year-old victim dead in the driver’s seat of a parked car with the engine still running.
Police recovered cash and a bag of marijuana from the vehicle.
An investigation led detectives to identify Perrin as the suspect in Kelly’s murder.
Perrin was being held without bond. Officials said they were working to determine if others were involved.
