Serial Bank Robber Arrested After Fifth Third Bank Robbery

A man has been arrested following a robbery at a local Fifth Third Bank. Authorities said he's believed to be a serial bank robber.

Reports stated the robbery happened Saturday morning at the bank branch in the 1300 block of Bell Road.

Authorities said the male suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Jason Phillip Xenos, went into the bank, handed the teller a note demanding money, took the money, and fled from the scene.

Tips from citizens helped authorities locate Xenos in a vehicle at the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike and Rural Hill Road.

Police said Xenos was alleged to have robbed three Nashville banks and one bank in Smyrna by passing notes.

Federal charges have been expected on Monday. The investigation remaining ongoing by officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Task Force.
