NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Nashville Fire Department has asked the public’s help in identifying an arsonist who set fire to an SUV.

The incident happened at 5:42 a.m. Sunday on Hawkwood Lane.

Surveillance video showed the GMC Yukon parked outside when the suspect walks up and pours liquid on the vehicle. He set fire to it, causing an explosion. He then ran towards Doverside Drive.

Those inside the home heard a loud “roaring noise,” looked outside to find the SUV engulfed. Fire officials say the blaze was so intense that it spread from the SUV to the home and caused damage.
