There may not have been a red carpet, but plenty of stars walked the patterned rugs at the 15th annual Americana Music Awards.
For some artists, their first nomination turned out to be their first win, like Nashville native Margo Price. She won Emerging Artist of the Year.
"I think for me you know Americana means just more rooted music. it's nice that there's a place for that and you've got the pop world and it's pretty gliseny and it's nice that they seem to care about art and lyrics and people playing real instruments," said Price.
The award show included a performance by Alison Krauss, The Lumineers, Bob Weir and many others. It was hosted by Jim Lauderdale, who took home this year's WagonMaster Award - a "lifetime achievement" honor.
Other celebrations included The Nitty Gritty Band, who celebrated their 50th year together as a band.
