One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash near the Dickson-Hickman County line.
The incident was reported early Wednesday morning on Interstate 40 East at mile marker 163.
According to the preliminary report, 60-year-old Brenda Peterson of Nunnelly was killed in the crash.
Peterson was traveling northbound on Highway 48 when she drove off the left side of the road. Her vehicle missed the overpass bridge and hit a concrete culvert causing the vihicle to flip and land on its roof on I-40.
No charges were expected to be filed. Peterson was wearing her seatbelt at the time.
