A man was shot during an attempted robbery in North Nashville.
The incident was reported after 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of 17th Avenue North.
Metro Nashville Police said the victim was shot in the leg and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The full extent of his injuries was unknown.
The suspect fled the scene. A specific suspect description was not immediately available.
