NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Want take your workout to the next level? You could try the "Capitol Steps Workout," where fitness takes -- flights.

Fitness is always an uphill climb. And for this dedicated group, that's the way they like it.

It's known as the "Capitol Steps Workout" and if you've passed by the government building after hours, you'll see the participants, running the staircases near James Robertson Parkway.

James Crumlin is their leader. Lawyer by day, he's a fitness guru in the evening.

Mondays and Thursdays at 6 p.m., weather permitting, you can join James and his friends as they take the stairs.

The Tennessee Capitol building sits on top of the highest hill in the city, but it's not all about the climb. Crumlin also leads the group in other exercises like lunges and planks.

The group has been meeting for seven years, but new members are welcome.

Just bring your running shoes and the will to reach new heights.

The workout is free. Meet at the northeast corner of the Capitol if you're up for the challenge.
