The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office has received reports of an attempted abduction.
The suspect was described as an older white man with a gray beard and gray or brown hair. He was said to have tried to abduct a 13-year-old girl Monday morning at Shirley Road and Criddle Street in Smyrna.
According to the report, he drove a light gray, single cab, older truck that sits low to the ground and is rusty around the door.
