A attempted robbery led to a police chase in Nashville on Beuna Vista Pike North of Nashville.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the 2400 block of Buena Vista Pike.
According to officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers heard a gunshot, then saw a man jump into a gold Malibu, driven by a male and female.
Officers said at some point during the chase the gunman bailed out of the vehicle.
The female driver crashed behind Alex Green Elementary School. She and the man in the car suffered minor injuries.
Both of them were taken to the hospital for treatment and expected to be arrested by officers after release.
Officials said the robber that fled on foot wore a hockey mask and was described as a heavy-set man with dread locks.
He was later found and arrested.
