LEXINGTON, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities said a body recovered from Pine Lake in West Tennessee was that of a missing 25-year-old man who drowned.

The body of Bryant Price was recovered about 1 a.m. Monday. Authorities said Price was trying to swim across the lake Sunday near the designated swimming area when he went underwater and never resurfaced. Friends who were with Price say they tried to help him but couldn't.

Rescue crews and divers from Henderson, Chester and Decatur counties had been searching the lake since Sunday afternoon. Officials dragged the lake, using chains and hooks to scrape the bottom of the lake to find objects for divers to search.
