The final autopsy report of 12-year-old murder victim Yhoana Arteaga concluded that she died from strangulation.
Yhoana was killed on August 10 inside her family’s home at 1229 Old Dickerson Pike.
Her mother told police she heard from Yhoana in a text saying someone was at the door, but never heard from her again.
Her killer has not been arrested, but detectives said they were actively pursuing leads.

The autopsy report also documented contusions to Yhoana’s head. It is undetermined whether she was sexually assaulted.
