Metro Nashville Police Officers were called to the possible drowning of a baby.
The drowning call came in to dispatch around 7:15 Friday night.
Officers responded to the apartment in Charter Village Apartments on the 300 block of Rio Vista Drive.
They found a 4-month-old baby that had somehow gotten in a tub of water and drowned. Paramedics did CPR on the baby and transported it to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in life-threatening condition.
Doctors were still working on the baby.
Officers opened an investigation into how the baby got into the tub.
